More than 40 children's stories of the coast of Northumberland are indicated by the red letters marked on this map.
However, I know of even more than the ones that I have indicated.
The coast and the seas between the River Tyne and the River Tweed have provided the settings for many different types of children's books - some of which will be discussed in the article which follows.
